METROD Malaysia Bhd plans to buy a 100 per cent stake in Austria's Asta Elektrodraht GmbH and Asta Elektrodraht & Co for RM161 million from VA Technologie Aktiengesell-shaft Group. The acquisition will be financed by a combination of the company's own funds and borrowings.
