Article: Venezuela oil minister dismisses Exxon Mobil court orders as 'judicial terrorism'

Venezuela accused Exxon Mobil Corp. of using the courts for "judicial terrorism" against President Hugo Chavez's government, arguing that court orders won by the oil company will not tie up billions of dollars (euros) in assets.

Exxon Mobil has gone after the assets of Venezuela's state oil company, Petroleos de Venezuela SA, in U.S., British and Dutch courts as it challenges the nationalization of a multibillion dollar (euro) oil project by Chavez's government. A British court has issued an injunction "freezing" as much as US$12 billion (8.3 billion) in assets.
