Heather Mills walked away from her four-year marriage to Paul McCartney with a 24.3 million pound (US$48.6 million; 31 million) divorce settlement _ an enormous sum, but a fifth of what she had sought and a fraction of the former Beatle's 400 million pound (US$800 million; 520 million) fortune.
McCartney's lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, walked away with a wet head, reportedly from a glass of water which Mills dumped on her. Mills told reporters that Shackleton had been "baptized in court."
Mills declared that she was "very, very, very pleased" with a payout that amounts to about US$34,000 (21,600) for each day of her marriage. But she was heading back to court ...
