Greece warned on Tuesday that there was very little time left to solve a name dispute with neighboring Macedonia, and that without a deal it would not agree to Macedonia's joining NATO.
The warning came on the eve of a summit of NATO leaders in Bucharest, Romania, at which Macedonia hopes to be invited to join the alliance, along with Croatia and Albania.
"The time that is left until decisions are taken is dramatically limited, if not nonexistent," Foreign Ministry spokesman Giorgos Koumoutsakos said.
He said Greece was prepared to continue negotiations on the name issue after the NATO summit, and that there was no time-limit on finding a solution. However, ...
