China condemned protests that disrupted the Olympic torch relay in London and Paris as despicable, but vowed Tuesday to continue the relay to the end.
Officials of the International Olympic Committee meanwhile suggested they may consider doing away with the international route in upcoming games. The IOC is holding its last official meetings in the Chinese capital this week with organizers of the Beijing games.
