Article: AP Interview: Nuclear weapons official says Bay Area lab security improved after mock attack

The top U.S. nuclear weapons official said he was satisfied that security vulnerabilities at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California have been patched after a mock terrorist attack defeated lab security in a recent exercise.

The exercise underscored the need for more extensive training at each of the sites where the government conducts nuclear weapons research and maintenance, said Thomas D'Agostino, administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration.
