The only man with a chance to win a true Grand Slam this year was the first man to reach the third round at the French Open.

At a tournament affected by rain on each of the first three days, Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic beat Miguel Angel Lopez Jaen 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 Wednesday.

"It's always good to have easy matches," said Djokovic, seeded third behind last year's French Open finalists Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. "Of course, Roland Garros is a Grand Slam, and it takes two weeks.
