German investigators have expanded an investigation into one of the Red Army Faction's most notorious killings to include another former member of the terrorist group, prosecutors said Friday.
Experts are now analyzing the DNA of former Red Army Faction member Verena Becker to see if it matches three genetic samples that have recently surfaced as part of a new investigation into the killing of Siegfried Buback, said Sonja Heine, a spokeswoman for federal prosecutors in Karlsruhe.
She also confirmed a report by Germany's Suedwestrundfunk radio that Becker had voluntarily provided the samples.
