Clint Barmes homered, Ubaldo Jimenez won for just the second time in a month and the Colorado Rockies ended the Astros' eight-game winning streak, beating Houston 5-2 on Friday night.
Jimenez (10-12) allowed three runs and five hits, struck out six, hit two batters and walked one in six-plus innings.
The Rockies, who started the day six games behind Arizona in the NL West, have won three of their first four on the current six-game homestand.
Brian Fuentes pitched the ninth to earn his 27th save in 31 chances.
Brian Moehler (10-6) gave up five runs and six hits, walked three and struck out four for the Astros, who had won 10 of their last 12.
