The following recalls have been announced because the products may be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems:

Rocky Mountain Foods Inc. is recalling tubs of Whole Foods Markets roasted and salted in-shell pistachios, roasted chili lemon pistachios and raw pistachio kernels. The company said it has not received any confirmed reports of illnesses.
The recalled pistachios have been packaged under the Whole Foods Markets brand in Whole Foods Markets retail stores. For more information, consumers can call 303-371-3511, ext. 15.
