Article: EU, Switzerland agree deal on border cargo checks

The European Union says Switzerland has agreed to waive some customs security checks which should ease border holdups for trucks and trains.

The agreement announced Thursday will see Switzerland adopt the same security measures on trade goods carried by rail and road as those of EU countries.
