Look at the list of the highest-grossing movies in the nation's history, and you'll see most have something in common: They came out in the past 20 years.

Of course, that has a lot to do with the rising price of movie tickets. So why isn't movie popularity measured by the number _ rather than total value _ of tickets sold?
