Article: Denmark trims key lending rate to 1.25 percent

Denmark's central bank on Thursday trimmed its key lending rate by 0.1 percent to 1.25 percent.

The reduction was a consequence of purchases of foreign exchange in the market, the central bank said in a statement.

The Nationalbank said its rate of interest on certificates of deposit also was lowered by 0.1 percent to 1.15 percent.

Both the discount rate and the interest rate on the banks' current accounts were maintained at 1.0 percent.
