Article: UN prosecutor in Serbia to review Mladic efforts

The chief U.N. war crimes prosecutor for former Yugoslavia arrived in Serbia on Wednesday to review how close the country has come to capturing Europe's most wanted fugitive, Ratko Mladic.

Serge Brammertz's assessment of Serbia's efforts to hunt down the wartime Bosnian Serb army commander will be an important factor for European Union officials when they decide on Belgrade's bid to join the bloc.

Brammertz is expected to report on his findings to the U.N. Security Council in December.
