Article: Investor risk appetite pushes markets toward highs

World stock markets rose Wednesday as investor appetite for riskier assets such as shares and oil remained strong, pushing many of world's major indexes towards 2009 highs.

Further solid earnings reports from companies including French bank Credit Agricole SA, encouraging economic data and dovish comments from central bank officials _ including Bank of England governor Mervyn King _ helped fuel another bout of buying of riskier assets, such as stocks.
