SEOUL, April 14 Asia Pulse - The average price of apartments in Seoul has exceeded 10 million won (US$8,120) a pyeong for the first time, according to a survey by housing price specialist R-114 Monday.

One pyeong equals 3.3 square meters.

The survey of some 1.05 million households in 2,362 apartment complexes showed their average per pyeong price was 10,004,000 won as of April 11.

R-114 attributed the hike in apartment prices to a reconstruction boom as well as new apartments being offered at higher prices.
