The 300-year-old Adam Thoroughgood House, one of the oldest historic treasures in Virginia Beach, is tied up in a custody battle between the cities of Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
Unless issues over ownership and operations are resolved before July, public access to the museum could once again be limited. The house, listed on the National Historic Register, attracts 10,000 visitors annually.
