Apr. 15--Community Pride Bank in Ham Lake faced a dilemma when a local real estate developer needed $4 million in loans: The request was about four times the bank's legal lending limit.
The 3-year-old bank, which prides itself on serving growing businesses in its community, turned to United Bankers' Bank, a Bloomington-based wholesale bank that provides services to commercial banks, to help make the loan.
"That's one large credit and if I can call on United Bankers' Bank, that helps us out a lot," said Community Pride president John Post.
