Apr. 15--Large Scale Biology Corp. announced Monday that Kevin J. Ryan has been named president and chief executive officer of the Vacaville-based biotech company that's aiming to manufacture drugs in tobacco plants.
Ryan, a director and former president of Large Scale, replaces LSBC founder Robert L. Erwin as CEO and is taking over the presidency from John D. Fowler.
In a written statement, Fowler said LSBC has made "significant progress over the last year, developing new alliances and moving its product portfolio closer to commercialization."
