HFMA recently rejoined the National Uniform Billing Committee (NUBC), a voluntary committee that maintains the integrity of the UB data set and serves as the discussion forum for developing mutually agreed upon data elements. The NUBC also helps define the data content associated within many of the electronic transactions and code sets in accordance with HIPAA.
"HFMA members are, and have been, extremely involved in the type of work that is the focus of the NUBC," says Scott Johnston, HFMA technical director.
