Apr. 15--The Charleston law firm of Robinson & McElwee wants to demolish the old Kanawha Hotel and build offices for the firm on the site.
One of the firm's lawyers, Kent George, is to address the Charleston Urban Renewal Authority on Wednesday morning. Developer Brooks McCabe, who leads the group of investors that owns the 100-year-old hotel, is also on the agenda. McCabe said last week that he supports the proposal.
George will represent Midwinter Investment Group LLC, which was formed April 2, according to the secretary of state's Web site. Pat Brown, ...
