State pays CZK 327 mln in compensation to Diag Human

Prague. April 16. INTERFAX EUROPE - The Czech state has paid CZK 327 mln in compensation to the blood plasma producer Diag Human as the first element of an out-of-court settlement reached between the firm and the state, reports the daily Pravo.

The action is the result of a decision by the Czech government back in the 1990s to halt cooperation with the firm, which is owned by the Swiss emigrant Josef Stava, according to Pravo.

Then health minister Martin Bojar labeled the firm 'suspicious,' which prevented the firm from engaging in the blood plasma trade.
