Apr. 16--Two-year-old Noshin Hogue was too sick to be in Oakland County Family Court on Tuesday, but she was at the heart of a fierce legal fight over what should be done to treat her brain cancer.
The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office filed an emergency petition earlier in the day, seeking to force her family to allow surgeons to remove a tumor deep in her mid-brain. That growth would likely kill Noshin within two years, according to neurosurgeons who have examined her.
