In your piece on online marketing site sponsorship (NMA Explains... Online Marketing, 20 March), Chris Dillabough stated online sponsorships are the same as tenancy deals and online partnerships. This is a massive surprise to me and probably to many in the market.
Sadly, unlike offline sponsorship, the mechanisms used to create online sponsorship are very similar to those used for standard ad serving and hence many confuse them. However, as with offline, good online sponsorship is a distinctive option that can work very effectively for many advertisers.
