EMCORE, a provider of optical solutions for global communications, announced a 4-channel parallel optical transceiver, compliant with the popular POP4-Pluggable Optics 4-channel-multi-source agreement (MSA). This new addition to the EMCORE product line compliments EMCORE's existing 4-channel transceiver, which is compliant with the QuadLink MSA, and 12-channel transmitters and receivers, which are compliant with the SNAP12 MSA. In a separate announcement coming soon, EMCORE will announce membership in the POP4 MSA. The 4-channel transceiver market offers the lowest cost 10Gb/s optical solutions for multi-rate Infiniband, Fibre Channel, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet XAUI ...
