I HAVE A PET THEORY (like most pet theories it's highly prejudiced and comes with lashings of self-interest): I'm convinced that graphic designers tend to make decent human beings. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's polite young graduates touting their portfolios, wizened old lags encountered on design juries, or wealthy heads of WPP-acquired consultancies, graphic designers tend to be likeable, witty, inventive and generous. Of course, there's always whatsisname?... but then every rule has its exception.
