Austrian insurer Uniqa eyes big premium boost in '03, seeks partnership to bolster market rank
Warsaw. April 22. INTERFAX-EUROPE - Austrian insurer Uniqa plans to boost life-insurance premium collection in Poland by 16% and property-insurance premium collection by 7% in 2003, looking for a further fillip to come from a possible partnership deal with Filar, an insurer owned by Germany's R+V Versicherung, Uniqa officials said Tuesday.
"We intend to significantly boost the share of life insurance in our portfolio," Uniqa Poland president Lech Michalik told reporters. "We forecast premium growth in life insurance by 16% and in property by 7%."
