Before Art Basel entirely fades from memory it's worth noting the contribution of Craig Robins, master landlord of the Miami Design District. When Art Basel descended on Miami Beach in early December, bringing with it a host of European art dealers and collectors, Robins opened up the Design District across the bay for the official opening party. Miami police estimate that 8,000 to 10,000 revelers showed up, making their way past three street bands and through 50 different exhibits and showrooms, where the art -- and wine -- flowed freely.
