Washington, D.C. -- A federal judge has ordered prosecutors to turn over to accused Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui any statements made by captured Al-Qaida members that might help show he was not part of the plot.
In rulings made public Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema of Alexandria, Va., reminded prosecutors that "the United States is under a continuing obligation to produce to the defense any statements in its possession which may exculpate Moussaoui ... or help him avoid a death sentence."
Her rulings on March 28 and April 1 appear to escalate a conflict over classified information that ...
