Apr. 23--A massive church where believers hoped to come closer to God through a famed and later discredited televangelist may soon be demolished to make way for young hockey players hoping to get closer to Lord Stanley's Cup.
The Farmers Branch City Council agreed Monday to work with the Dallas Stars to build a new Dr Pepper StarCenter where pastor Robert Tilton's former Word of Faith Church still stands, near Interstate 35E and Valley View Lane.
