When we first thought about reviewing Shula's On The Beach (in Fort Lauderdale), the idea of taking a non-traditional approach to visiting the steakhouse seemed pretty interesting. How about eating non-meat items on the menu and seeing how they stack up to the steaks, which we'd had at other Shula's locations on a number of occasions and knew to be outstanding. We'd try some fish, maybe a pasta dish -- but no meat, not even a lamb chop.
