The Marine Corps last week released market surveys seeking information from possible suppliers of a new anti-armor system (AAS) turret and enhanced fire support system (EFSS) for its fleet of LAV light armored vehicles made by Canada's General Motors Defense [GM].

According to the LAV-AAS market survey, the Marine Corps is seeking to replace the current Emerson 901 "Hammerhead" turrets, armed with Raytheon's [RTN] Tube-launched Optically-tracked Wire-guided (TOW) missiles, that equip its LAV Anti-Tank (LAV-AT) variant vehicles.
