Apr. 24--The father of an 11-year-old boy who was mauled to death by hyenas won permission Wednesday to sue a Fort Lauderdale safari company that took him to Botswana.
Aside from the unusual and gruesome nature of the boy's death, the appellate ruling is attracting attention in Florida's legal community because it's the first in the state to test how much power divorced parents have in signing away certain legal rights for their children.
