It wasn't exactly an environmental moment on Wednesday, the day after Earth Day.
But with the city's blessing, Overture Development Corp. cut a dozen mature trees on the north side of the 200 block of North Henry Street.
"It was a little hard to carry on business with the chain saws running," said a surprised Brett Hulsey, senior Midwest representative for the Sierra Club, which has offices on the block. "We just hope they replace the 35-foot trees with 35-foot trees. Trees are one of the most important things for quality of life Downtown."
