Case IH has extended its 1200 Series Advanced Seed Meter (ASM) planter line up with new 12/23- and 16/3 1split-row configurations. The hopper size has been increased on the 1200 Series split-row with twin 40-bushel tanks now providing a constant flow of seed to each row unit.
The ASM-design uses a large diameter seed disc (11.8 inches) with the most holes (48 for corn) in the industry, for more controlled seed release and better accuracy.
The unit features the patented ASM three-spool seed singulation design. Seed size selection is also simplified, as one seed disc and one vacuum setting are recommended for all sizes and shapes of corn seed.
