Moral and political obligations are related to an evolving human nature. The philosophical position underlying this conclusion differs from the classical Greek position, the early modern response to it, and a postmodern emphasis on the constitutive character of language. It relates knowledge to worldviews that are composed of less than fully integrated part systems. The second-order recursive transactional analyses that produce these worldviews also produce metatheories, that is, standards for the structure of theories and the use of evidence.
