DAVE Brubeck was getting his bags packed, preparing for another tour when I tracked him down in California. At 82, the American jazz legend was on the road again.
``I will be away from home for 52 days,''he tells me. ``That's what it's like to be on the road!''
It's a tour that brings him to Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall on Tuesday but with much in between.
Over the Easter holiday,for example, he was in Vienna for a series of concerts - Bach, Wagner, Beethoven - which included his own Easter Cantata. Then it was off to Britain for the 15 one -nighters.
