Most movie stars have their fifteen to twenty years of fame, followed by a run of fund-raisers and other rare appearances, perhaps some made-for-television movies or a short-lived series, before their careers gradually decline and they slowly fade out. It's a familiar pattern. Upon their death, there may be admiring eulogies, a flattering obituary in The New York Times and a few seconds of tribute on the late-night news. That's if they're lucky.
