Andrew Parry, former chief investment officer at Northern Trust Global Investments, has launched a hedge fund, joining a string of well-known fund managers turning to alternative investments.The Magenta Fund, launched this month, has invested in global equities and is dollar neutral.
Parry set up the fund with Chris Deazeley and Jonathan Sellers, equities fund managers from Northern Trust. They have recruited David Mace, from the securities business of Lehman Brothers, as chief investment officer.
