LCF Rothschild, the French asset management group, has been retained as adviser to C3D for its planned privatisation of Compagnie des Alpes, the world's largest ski operator.C3D, the engineering and services subsidiary of Caisse des Depots et Consignations (CDC), revealed in December last year that it was seeking to privatise Compagnie des Alpes by reducing its stake to 35%.
The ski operator and family leisure group's market capitalisation is just over [euro]300m ($319m), and while the transaction would not be that large in monetary terms, it is a significant coup for LCF Rothschild to advise on the privatisation process.
