Bentley Systems Inc. (www. bentley.com) and ESRI (www. esri.com) announced at the recent Geospatial Information Technology Association Conference (www.gita.org) in San Antonio, Texas a strategic technology initiative that has already been under way for nearly a year. The announcement comes on the heels of a divisional restructuring at Bentley that clearly heralded the company's desire to hone its focus on four vertical markets in the major facility/asset management category. Specifically, the four cross-functional organizations are Bentley Civil, Bentley Building, Bentley Plant, and Bentley Geospatial, which will be headed by Executive Vice-President Styli Camateros.
