Apr. 29--PEORIA, Ill.--With somewhat nervous laughter and joshing from a clown on a tiny bicycle, Journal Star employees on Monday began taking a new way to work every day while the newspaper gets a new addition.
Dayside employees will be parking in a rented lot near the Cohen's Furniture warehouse in Peoria Heights for a year or so during construction of the 66,000-square-foot addition that will house the Journal Star's new printing press.
About 200 dayside employees will be shuttled by bus and van from the lot to the newspaper offices at 1 News Plaza about ...
