If the menu for the day included "meatballs," as in a perfect pitch to hit a long way, Ashleigh Tucker figured to have a helping or two.
The St. Charles East sophomore second baseman picked on one of those servings to drill a two-out, 2-run homer in the fourth inning and notched 3 RBI Tuesday in leading the host Saints to a Upstate Eight Conference 6-2 victory over rival St. Charles North (4-6, 3- 2).
"That pitch (North hurler Melissa Engel) gave me, it was right there," Tucker said. "You can't say no to a meatball pitch."
