Apr. 30--The Connecticut and Rhode Island attorneys general yesterday requested that a joint-state commission be formed to settle a border dispute that dates to Colonial times.
Rhode Island Atty. Gen. Patrick C. Lynch and his Connecticut counterpart, Richard Blumenthal, recommended in a letter to their respective legislatures that the commission confirm the state border as it physically exists, or make adjustments to more accurately reflect the boundary as established in 1840 -- the last line agreed upon.
