CALGARY, Alberta -- CALGARY, Alberta, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- SemBioSys Genetics Inc. and AVAC Ltd. announced today that AVAC Ltd. will invest up to $2.5 MM (Cdn) in SemBioSys. The AVAC funding will be used to complete development of SemBioSys' StratoCapture(TM) Protein A Purification System. This technology has the potential to transform the purification of antibodies by converting the process from a batch process requiring use of expensive columns into a continuous one using a disposable reagent.
