Russia's top aluminum producer, Russian Aluminium (RusAl), is looking at possible bauxite/alumina projects in Guyana to increase its feedstock sources in Latin America, Guyana's government said, reports Reuters (April 8, 2003):
A RusAl delegation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Guyana government registering the Russian company's interest in tapping the country's extensive bauxite deposits, the Government Information Agency (GINA) said.
