News of gunfire outside South Presbyterian Church kept David Johnson awake Sunday night.
"It immediately raised great concern for the ministers and people there, for their safety, both physical and spiritual," said Johnson, executive presbyter of the Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse. "It made me realize how important ministry and mission is in that congregation, and all our urban congregations. The challenges those communities face are sometimes overwhelming."
