2003 MAY 11 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Candida albicans appears to form a genetically homogeneous population in the United States.

"Allelic distributions and frequencies of five Candida albicans microsatellite loci have been determined for strains isolated from the bloodstream and obtained through active population-based surveillance in two U. S. metropolitan areas between 1998 and 2000," researchers in the United States report.
