Apr. 30--SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif.--San Juan Elementary is a mostly Hispanic school in a mostly white city.
It is a distinction that for most kids ends in sixth grade, when they join white students at a middle school that is the picture of integration.
Now, as the school district considers a proposal to add three grade levels to San Juan Elementary, some worry that Hispanics would be isolated for too long in a school that doesn't reflect an increasingly diverse California.
