At least six major food companies have been asked by Federal investigators for documents and other information about their dealings with U.S. Foodservice Inc. Officials at Kraft Foods Inc., H.J. Heinz Co., General Mills Inc., Sara Lee Corp., ConAgra Foods Inc. and Tyson Foods Inc. all confirmed they had been contacted in the past week by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Manhattan U.S. attorney's office or both, reported The Washington Post (Apr. 4).
